The first interview with Dr. Vargas was a pleasure, (at least
as pleasurable as circumstances would allow), at which time
he provided me with a probable treatment scenario and time table for my "squamus cell carcinoma.. with evidence
of lymphatic/vascular invasion", and a more complete
description of my condition than I have been able to glean
from earlier contacts with my U.S. ENT doctor and the
oncologist provided by my HMO.

Within 36 hours of admission to treatment, the clinic had completed x-rays, MRI, the Radiologist's treatment recommendations and my second chemotherapy session.
I had no adverse reactions or noticeable discomfort
during the fourteen days of chemotherapy and radiation.

Upon completion of my fourteen days initial treatment I
returned home for 6 to 8 weeks before further treatments
was needed.  During this time the radiation and
chemotherapy treatments were expected to continue to
work in my system.  When I left the clinic, Dr. Vargas
estimated the tumor on my vocal cord had reduced in size by 75% and the swelling on my lymph nodes has declined by 90%.

After an extensive larynoscopy and examination of my MRI,
the Head and Neck Tumor Board (U.S.) found some
continued swelling and scar tissue but could not find no visible remnants of the tumor on my vocal cords or lymph nodes.
I've gained back most of the weight lost, my skin tone has
returned to normal and I feel healthy.

I most want to thank Dr. Vargas for his patience in answering
my questions and concerns.  He never rushed our
consultations and was and is always thorough in his explanations of my condition and what to expect form the procedures.

Thank you once again for your excellent, loving care in treating the cancer.  Your protocol works, Doc - after three months the tests coming back cancer-free!  You are all great blessings to the medical community.

I know I still have surgery to go through and continued chemotherapy, but it is great to be part of the "living with a long future"!  What a miracle to from Stage 3 cancer to cancer free! I would not be here if it weren't for your professionalism and your great concern and care.

Dr. Vargas, you have a great team put together in the clinic as well as the team of doctors you call upon.  Greatness begets greatness.

You are all the best and I am most certain God favors you in many ways on a daily basis.

                           Better and better,

[Update from Rob Pyle]

An update to my last written testimony!

I left you off, probably on the edge of your seat, after my first two weeks of treatment with Dr Vargas and his professional and compassionate staff.

As you may recall, I felt I'd be cured in 4-5 months (Western medical Science said I'd most likely be dead in 4-5 months). Well guess what.......my treatment started on Sept. 20, 2007 and concluded on December 1, 2007.  If my math is correct, that's less than 10 weeks!

The remainder of my treatment after the first two weeks, involved coming back home and continuing normal activities while the chemo and radiation "did their thing" in reducing my five large tumors in preparation for surgery.  Four weeks after my initial chemo and radiation, I returned to Dr. Vargas and his specialist in head and neck surgery, and had 4.5 hours of delicate and complicated surgery.  I was, and am not, scarred and/or disfigured in any way.  I only lost 1 out of 6 salivary glands and a few lymph nodes, which do not effect me negatively in any way.  I returned home after a few days and then returned to Mexico again in a couple of weeks for a little follow up light chemo and radiation.

Back home in Northern California, all the scans performed by Western Medical Science show my cancer gone!  Just had another CT Scan a few days ago (6/10/08), and again, everything's perfect!

  Love and Blessings,
  Rob
